What People Have Said …

“I started coming to Paul as my PT as I was not confident using the equipment and needing to improve health as I was getting on and slowing down. Paul challenged me to keep going and doing those extra sets.

He even helped on the weekends when I was unable to get to midweek sessions. Really positive and supportive guy and I highly recommend giving Paul a go as your PT.

Top bloke and good for a yarn. One More Set!”

“My story... for me, I wanted to lose some weight before I travel and I knew I couldn't do it on my own.

In my search for a local gym/exercise class I found one named , WAI PIIKI , ok who is this and what does it mean? I met Paul and he assured me that something could be done. (Are you serious, I'm in the over 50’s) we started last November . First with only able to do 3 squats ! Now 5 months later, I've lost some of my weight, toned up . With Paul's encouragement and you can do one more. I feel so much better physically and mentally and I don't feel like the couch potato anymore. With Paul's bubbly enthusiasm you really feel like that you are doing exercise as he makes it fun. Paul makes you feel good about yourself and doing exercise and then I want to do more! So what does WAI PIIKI mean, it's about getting the buzz to exercise. I can do 300 squats and walk more than 5kms, and other stuff, something I thought I would never do. If you are looking for a class to make you feel fantastic you won't go wrong with Paul and WAI PIIKI, it's fun come and join us.”

“Could not speak more highly of Paul and his training! Love bootcamp, super enjoy the variety of exercises and the company of good, normal, likeminded people! Paul is friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. Can’t ask for much more than that! 🙌🏼 #inforthewaipiikilonghaul”

“If anybody is looking for a Friendly, safe, Welcoming Group & Fun environment to work out in, then I fully recommend Wai Piiki 💯. I honestly felt so anxious about meeting Paul & joining in with his running group/bootcamps at the beginning of the term but I must say I absolutely LOVE the feeling I get when I have finished a challenging workout that has pushed me yet has been within my capabilities 😁 Paul is Super supportive & experienced & I can't wait to reap the benefits in the coming months 😉”

“Wai Piiki,

As a member of Paul’s “Mobilize and Socialise” group on Tuesday mornings in Dinsdale I look forward to participating in the routines he develops for us. In our more ‘mature’ age group, Paul focusses our sessions on the importance of maintaining balance, co-ordination and continued social connection as we move through our life stages. While he is always mindful of tailoring our strengthening exercises to individual needs, Paul is a dedicated professional with a unique ability to add a touch of humour and fun to our class in a non-judgemental, supportive and inclusive way - come and join us, you’ll wonder why you waited so long!”

“I've been training with Paul for 9 months now at his group classes. Every time he brings encouragement, energy and a great variety of exercises. He's fantastic at knowing when to push me by giving me challenges, when to offer encouragement, and when to crack a joke to get me enjoying the time! Paul has helped me identify muscles imbalances, how to rectify them and most importantly how to perform the exercises safely. Whatever your fitness goal, I'm sure Paul will be able to help you get there.”

This is my second term training with Paul at Wai Piiki fitness. It’s been great to get back into a regular fitness routine. Lots of variety from stretching to strength and resistance training through to running. Paul is so passionate and motivated and his enthusiasm makes the workouts that much more fun and engaging. Well worth the money and you can chose early morning or evening - whatever works best for you. I’d highly recommend coming along to try it out and meet a few friends along the way!!”
